Young People

The Kenilworth Centre provides support to our young people and gives them opportunities they may not otherwise have.

Youth Clubs
The centre runs 2 youth clubs on Friday’s for 11 to 16 year olds. The sessions provide a safe environment for young people to meet friends and try out new activities. They are run by youth workers trained to help the young people work through issues affecting them such as stress, bullying, relationships, alcohol and drugs awareness.

Junior Youth Club (Year 5+) on Friday’s 6.00 – 7.30 pm (Term time). Cost £2

Senior Youth Club (Year 7+) on Friday’s 7.30 – 9.00 pm (Term time). Cost £1

Detached Youth Work
Many young people prefer to meet friends in one of the parks, most popularly on Friday night. Our trained detached workers, working with police and community officers, are committed to keeping these young people safe, distracting them from risky behaviour and offering guidance and advice on alcohol.
School Mentoring Lunch Club
Two of our youth workers visit Kenilworth School twice a week. Meeting with students who have been referred by teacher they provide a counselling and mentoring service , working in an informal way to build trust.
We are passionate about supporting and providing opportunities for young people in Kenilworth and the surrounding areas and we need your support as most of our services are self-funded and we rely heavily on donations from supporters and sponsors to maintain them. Please get in touch today to find out how you can help.

“I’m really glad I now have someone at school I can talk to. It’s helped me to understand how I am feeling and that I am not alone”
