Cllr Kate Dickson’s petition to save theKenilworthCentre

Cllr Kate Dickson’s Petition

As you are probably now aware, on the 10th December, Rev Andrew Attwood of St John’s Church, Kenilworth presented an 881 signatory petition asking the town councillors to keep funding theKenilworthCentre at the current level of £30,000 a year.

Cllr Kate Dickson proposed this level of ongoing funding for a 3-year period, but was defeated by 13 other councillors voting against the decision. Instead, they voted to consider a 2016/17 bid from theKenilworthCentre of up to £7,500, provided it was spent on detached youth work.

As a result,  Cllr Kate Dickson has begun a new petition to fight to get the Kenilworth Town Council to reverse its decision to cut all fixed funding of theKenilworthCentre
